IKEA celebrates 30 years in the UK

The furniture giant synonymous with millennials, DIY and Swedish meatballs celebrates 30 years of being in the UK. In 1987, a new era of furniture started – IKEA opened its doors in Warrington, leading the way in modern, affordable furniture.

To mark this, they have launched a new section on their website where they look at a short history of IKEA in the UK, 30 iconic designs and a party! The iconic designs are presented as an interactive timeline, ending, quite rightly, with the iconic fashionable blue bag.

IKEA family members will get a £5 voucher that can be printed at any IKEA.

The IKEA House Party

The party, which takes place in London, explores the tastes and styles of the British and how they have changed through the decades. This immersive experience spread out over four floors promises a celebration of all things IKEA.
